Liberty Federal Credit Union has received a grade of “A” by Weiss Ratings quarterly report of credit union safety. This grade considers numerous factors, including asset quality, capital adequacy, and liquidity. Liberty FCU is one of 205 credit unions to receive an “A” of the 2,162 credit unions graded. The credit union was praised, in part, for its long-standing financial stability.
“A five-year analysis of stability tests, including evaluations of capital adequacy, asset growth, and profitability, lead to an Excellent overall stability index,” the report explained. The credit union also received a perfect score of 10.00 on the Weiss Ratings Asset Quality Index. Weiss Ratings is a ratings agency recognized by the U.S. Government Accountability Office for its accuracy in independent reporting. It is a division of Weiss Research.
