The following reminders can help you prevent fraud and protect yourself from unauthorized transactions:
- Fraudsters are sometimes able to trick cardholders into responding that transactions are valid when they are actually fraud transactions performed by the fraudsters themselves.
- Remember, an LFCU employee would never ask you to respond to a text message you receive while on the phone with them to verify a transaction is NOT fraud. Especially if it is a transaction you do not recognize.
- LFCU will never ask for your card number or a portion of your card number, expiration date, or 3-digit code.
- LFCU won't ask you for a code from a text message or phone call, do not give these out to anyone!
- Never share your username or password for digital banking with anyone, including an LFCU employee.
- If LFCU calls you, we encourage you to call us back at our local or toll-free number, 800-800-9271, to confirm it's us. If after hours, press 7 or call 888-918-7313.
