Every year, approximately 100 high school bands submit applications to participate in the Tournament of Roses Parade. Nineteen ensembles are selected. Additionally, after watching the all competing bands in the BOA Grand National Championships, the Tournament of Roses Committee President extends an invitation to one additional ensemble.

In 2022, the Castle Marching Knights were named Grand National Finalists, placed 12th in the nation, and were awarded the prestigious honor of the 2024 Rose Parade invitation.

Castle will be one of nine high school bands from the United States marching in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day in 2024.
