David L. Rapson is a seasoned veteran of the banking industry, boasting 34 years of experience and holding senior management positions across various sectors, including retail banking, commercial banking, construction banking, and mortgage banking. Over the past 22 years, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership in the mortgage banking industry, excelling in sales, operations, and construction and renovation lending. David’s career trajectory has seen him contribute his expertise to leading institutions such as a Top 10 National Bank, Community Bank, Regional Bank, and Independent Mortgage Banker, both at the national and regional levels.
David is recognized for his comprehensive understanding of the mortgage lending process, underpinned by a unique blend of skills and knowledge acquired through his extensive industry exposure. He holds the esteemed Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation and, in 2023, attained the prestigious Certified Mortgage Banking Designation (CMB) from the Mortgage Bankers Association, a testament to his commitment to excellence in the field.
Currently serving as the Regional Vice President at Liberty Federal Credit Union, David is dedicated to driving the growth of mortgage lending operations in the Southeast region. Based in Cumming, Georgia, he resides with his wife, Debbie, of 33 years, alongside their two beloved dogs. Their family extends to include two adult sons, Shane and Brandon, a daughter-in-law Brooke, and a cherished granddaughter, Hadassah Rose.
Beyond his professional endeavors, David actively engages with his community, contributing his time and expertise to various non-profit organizations. He holds positions on the board of the Lanier Forsyth Rotary and the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia. A proud alumnus of Georgia State University, David’s leisure pursuits include basketball, golf, boating, skiing, biking, and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons at games.
