Mitchell was born and raised in Evansville, IN. He went to Memorial H.S and then University of Missouri St Louis. He currently serves on the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee and several nonprofit boards. He is married to his wife, Lana and enjoys activities such as networking, volunteering, golfing, and taking their dog on walks.
